Hello! welcome to the booking site of Loc’d by Lotus 🩷. my name is Amber and i specialize in hair care for natural locs and loc extensions. i’ve spent multiple years curating my business to fit the needs of many people looking to start or maintain their own loc journey! through practice, trail and error, i’ve discovered so many new ways to embrace the beauty & uniqueness of each individual loc transformation. i’m always open to learning new techniques and sharing with my clients as i learn. having an extensive background in cosmetology, i’m able to provide top quality services to all of you! i look forward to creating together. 😊 BEST way to Contact: TEXT (240)-688-0573 for direct message inquiries. please include your name/ pictures and any other helpful information. response times may vary based on my availability. - Please arrive NO earlier than (5) minutes before your scheduled appointment time as i may be finishing up on a client or utilizing my personal break time. certain services may run over the estimated duration so i’ll do my best to communicate prior to your arrival if i’m in need of any extra time. - There is a (15) minutes grace period for all loc maintenance appointments & a (5-10) minutes grace period for all loc repairs/ consultation bookings. - No Extra Guest are permitted unless being serviced/ are a parent or gardian of a child being serviced. - NON-refundable deposits are required for all services. your deposit amount may vary based on your specific booking. before canceling, please look into rescheduling. - Rescheduling within 36 hours of your upcoming appointment will require a new deposit, being that it doesn’t allow enough time to readjust my other appointments for that specific day. - repetitive rescheduling made by the same client will result in needing to rebook directly through me as it creates the appearance of uncertainty. i WILL allow 2 reschedules. if a 3rd reschedule is made without communication to me, the appointment will be cancelled and a new deposit will be required. HOW MY BOOKS WORK : booking dates open “daily” 1 month in advance outside of Sunday’s & Monday’s. example: if it is the 5th of THIS month, you will see the 5th of NEXT month unless i’m already fully booked for that day or the day is unavailable. i suggest checking periodically as spots typically open at midnight for the next available date! ** Regular clients will occasionally have the option to book ahead past 1 month or contact me directly for availability on specific dates for special events/ vacations/ etc based on my availability ** SERVICES I OFFER : * i offer a deep cleansing shampoo service for ALL loc maintenance appointments. it is not an add on, it IS included with your maintenance :). * i offer ACV detox services, which is the act of removing buildup, dirt, excessive product and debris that can become trapped in the shaft of locs over time. effectiveness can depend on the extent of the build up, as one person may need more than just 1 treatment for the most optimal results. * i offer basic and creative styling along with your loc maintenance. freestyles are one of my specialties & inspo pictures are always welcome! * LOC REPAIRS - when 1 or a few locs start feeling thin, brittle or have already parted ways, let me help you reconnect! i do have specific limits when it comes to repairs as some can be more extensive AND expensive than a quick fix. if your locs need a thorough analysis, a consultation is HIGHLY suggested. * EXTENDED STYLES - i offer extended styles to already existing locs using marley/cuban twists hair to add length & volume. these styles are meant to be temporary and protective! i don’t suggest wearing any extended style longer than 7-8 weeks max OR getting extended styles back to back as your natural locs need time to decompress and mature properly. back to back extended styles run the risk of thinning from the weight and tension of continuously adding hair. natural locs should be atleast 2-3 months old to be considered for extended loc services. * my preference is atleast 3 months or older. * * LOC EXTENSIONS - consultations are absolutely mandatory and limited for all loc extension inquiries. your consultation must be completed ** IN PERSON **due to the cost, time and labor put into each install, i have to be absolutely sure that loc extensions are the correct option for you based on your specific hair type, texture & condition. we will go over your hair & scalp history, ideal sizing and length & pricing points based on what you desire. * i typically limit myself to 1-2 loc extension installs per month. * LIMITED SERVICES/ I Do NOT offer: * i do not offer color services, especially with the use of bleach and harsh chemicals on previously colored/ virgin hair. * if i provide any form of coloring, it would only be color correction from gray to 1b /dark brown shades. (i do not provide color lift or removal.) * MICRO/SISTERLOCK SERVICES - i service various sizes/lengths & densities of locs but i do not service traditional micro/sisterlocks. * STARTER LOCS - i currently have a large quantity of loc clients so i have to limit how many new locs i can start per month. new starter loc clients require consistent maintenance in the beginning stages and i want to be sure of my availability to keep as many of my clients on track with their transitions as possible. * Starter Loc Consultations have become a requirement for all starter loc inquiries! * * SQUEEZE INS - squeeze in’s truly depend on my availability for a specific week or day. if i have time in between clients, there may be a lower squeeze in fee vs. a before/after hour squeeze in fee. please reach out to me directly to gauge what time frame works best for the both of us! your fee will be your deposit amount and your service will be priced based on your booking/style & any additional needs.

Cancellation Policy

There will be a 60% cancellation fee for all No Call/No Shows & Last Minute Cancellations within 24 hours of appointment time.
